Garrison was clearly named by one of the more imaginative imperial planetary defence commanders and is the headquarters for what remains of the local PDF.

The planet likely raises an imperial guard regiment, but you see no evidence of it here, only the local military organisations that are often less well equipped than their star-faring contemporaries.

As far as PDFs go, they aren’t badly equipped and from what you see they are well disciplined. They have effectively dug in and fortified Garrison and you see now that they’ve fortified other parts of the city well too before they withdrew here. They sport a charcoal grey and purple livery with shaved heads seemingly required as part of the uniform.

They also appear to be hiding something within their main barracks and won’t let anyone inside.
