A loose mix of industrial and residential slums would make this district unremarkable were it not for a prominent hill featuring three large mounds.

They give the impression of being funereal and stand out as primitive and incongruous compared to the imperial construction around it. The mounds are made from a dark shimmering stone, although dirt and brown grasses have grown over them obscuring this from a distance.

Small shards of these mounds litter their base. You can’t tell if this is from the weather or from residents purposefully chipping parts off. The mounds make anyone who approaches feel a deep sense of unease and discomfort. Anyone psychically sensitive struggles to get close to them at all.
