Whilst the Tyranids approach, forces desperately scramble to harvest strange glowing crystals. Between the ravenous jaws of these alien dervishes, the clash of battle and the unpleasant other-ness of the planet in general, survivors of these battles return to their fleets as hardened veterans.
Forces clash on Biss over outcrops of beguiling glowing crystals that are wrenched from the ground by multiple forces including at least one Chaos rhino crewman. Meanwhile, the other crystal-filled planet, Krystallia, sees continued interest with more fighting breaking out, but Team Salvation retains its stranglehold.
Close battles were fought between Nathan and Leo with Nathan finishing with a two point lead and Will and Nigel also fought a close battle with Will finishing with a two point lead.
The outcome of Nicky and David’s battle was defined by a single failed psychic power in turn one and a handful of dice rolls at the end of turn five, and Rob defeated Denis’ Necrons, despite them wiping out most of the cult’s heavy hitters early on. Finally, Max overran Chris’s highly mobile Chaos force who really weren’t expecting to have to stand still and defend things.
Forces in Tuhinga are not entirely sure where the next hammer will fall. Biss appears to be going through some changes after the initial skirmishes there, something continues to tick away on Arrakanis and the warp storms over Tuhinga Prime have cleared up with rag-tag fleet of beleaguered ships appearing near this planet.
Next week will be the final 1,500 game that will round out phase two of the Tuhinga Enigma!
